any difference between the optical cables for DVD and ADAT???

I can't believe none of the music stores in an area with 1M+ population don't have ANY optical cables......

I just bought a Lucid ADDA converter.... didn't even think getting light pipe cables would be an issue Thumb Down

Never had a problem with any ADAT/TOS-Link/LightPipe, etc. As long as the connector looks like a little house...

Geez - Go to the Guitar Center around here and they don't even know what an AES/EBU cable is (I wouldn't even want to ask about TOS-Link).

Thanks!

it mazes me, the two largest music store sin the are, GC and a private company (both of whom have multiple locations) sell DAW's and the digital pres... but have no cables for them

want an even greater "deer in the headlights" stare... ask about BNC for wordclock cables.....no clue... and this from their "Pro Audio" pros.....

Fry's electronics has optical cables, thought they don't specifically say ADAT... but the Blue Ray players all have TOS-Link... and I'm gusessing video transfers at a highter rate than my 24 bit @ 44.1 kHZ

TOS vs. ADAT cables should be the same thing thing. I use the same cables for both ADAT and my mindisc I/O.

Some years ago I went into GC to buy a brick of Neil Peart Signature Pro Mark sticks. The drum guy had no clue who Peart was...he even asked me to spell it. I quickly pointed out that Neil was the guy currently playing on the TV up in the corner of the drum department. So the drum guy has the Neil Peart drumming DVD playing 12 feet from his head, yet had no clue who he was!
