Tumbleweed is a visual cliche used by film makers to show very little happening in a dusty, one-horse town. I used the term <tumbleweed> in the context that apparently nobody else other than yourself appears to be using the UAD-2 SOLO accelerator card. Or if someone else IS using it they can't be bothered responding. I didn't want you to feel like you were being ignored.

I don't suppose he's using with DP? (Which I'm loving!)

... just you could bundle stereo and mono outputs together... that's about the only nit I've come up with... and that's a small one and easily worked around

He uses Nuendo...although he mentioned switching to Cubase.

I'm glad you like DP. I look at Nuendo and, to me, it looks awful and just plain odd.

I've bever even seen it1 I started on Cakewalk, then went to a Boss BR8 which I quickly outgrew, then to ProTools for 10 years-( and Reaper and Cubase mixed in there... I have both, but don't go to either one... no real reason, but when I decided to jump ship from PT they were not on my top picks list

as to the UAD... I'm not even sure I need one, though some of the UAD plugs are nice.... very nice

I have a pair of UAD-1 cards in my Cubase SX3 DAW. Love 'em- the plugs are very nice indeed. Keeping the DAW alive has been a big pain for a long time, though- I'm on my 5th audio drive, 3rd motherboard, and 3rd power supply... Was thinking about pulling all that stuff out of the Windows box and putting it in my old G5, which is still PCI based, but haven't got around to it. I'll probably end up selling the whole thing off...

I looked at the UAD-1's they're going for under $150 on e-bay (and there's quite a few..... but it may be wise to get something current
