Spalted Flame Box Elder.. Low D...

Great flute... couldn't resist it and I needed a good low D..

The spalting is black and brown(not really shown in this image). That is natural red in the Flame Box Elder.. gorgeous flute..

their isn't a lot of spalting in the wood.. just some nice touches.

Very cool. Where do you find something like this?

I end up making my own flutes, whistles and shakuhachi from PVC. I don't have the resources or know-how to do them in wood, and nobody sells them around here.

there are LOTS of flute makers. this one is a Tree of Life Flute.. http://www.treeoflifedesigns.com/index.html

Geri Littlejohn lives in Asheville, she makes fantastic flutes..

I am sure there are others. Drop by the flute portal.

Many flutes reviewed, online music, discussions etc..
