I thought this was going to be a family friendly event, but it's obviously not. Laughing

Sorry kids but I don't think I'm going to be able to make it this year.

I think you all are aware of my predicament ...

I have my kids this weekend, I'm spending it with them, and I just can't justify taking them somewhere where this kind of shit is going down. Even moreso when it's being broadcast across the internet.

I hope you all have a great time, which I'm sure you will!!!!

Well I'll be heading out there shortly.

I managed to hurt my back last night. But I've learned from past experiance that when I do this, the most comfortable seat for me is the heated drivers seat of my PT Crusier. So a long drive will work out well. But I probably wont be able to do anything except limp around once I get there.

See ya soon...

What's up with these Canadians wanting to fight all the time?

Hey Daf - I had a great time even though I just caught the tail end of the weekend. Thanks to you and yours for hosting such a neat event.

I'm gonna have to get some cookies to you sometime soon.

It was good to see you again, even if for just a short time. Make sure that Mrs. Daf hears that I said "Hi and Thanks" too.

I really wanted to join in a bit but honestly, I loved just listening to everyone jam. I've always been a fan of your talents but you surround yourself with talent too. Why should I be surprised?

As Annie might be heard saying...You ROCK!

Welcome to the board, snickerdoodle. You rock too. So do your cookies.

xxxoo,

Daffy

I made it home in 4-1/2 hours, just in time to hang out with the kids for a bit and tuck 'em both into bed with a story. Smile

I had another great time and next year I'll probably bring my older son with me. He asked me about going there and I told him he could, so he's pretty happy about it.

Thanx again to Daf, Kim and the family for hosting this event. I wish I had been more motivated to jam more than I did, but was kind of tired all weekend.... possibly from averaging 4 hours of sleep every night?

mmmm.... maybe.

I was impressed with all the talent there, especially our multi-talented Canadian friends. I'll have to learn some more current tunes to jam with you guys... I've been stuck in the 70's for too long. But the last jams today sure were a lot of fun... it made it extra hard to leave.

Hopefully I'll see most of you at JamFest in August. Smile

Buck, I think that maybe Myke and I need to learn more tunes to keep up with you guys! When you look at it, I bet more people know the songs that you do!

Maybe we can even meet halfway lol!

UPS and 30 min. shipping to get across the bridge? I doubt that. Probably more like 2 days. I'm sure I could drive there within 3 hours tops including border delays. The cookies may be confiscated at the crossing though...*sigh*...oh well...we'll have to think of something.
But you do know Simon how this works. Only the first bag is free! (just kidding)

Hey, really, I'm glad you liked them!

If I keep the recipe a close guarded secret then maybe Jay will continue to let me come to his Jam and hang with him and all his talented pals. Hee Hee Hee...

See ya at the next one (hopefully!)

It was nice to meet you too! The cookies were a small contribution, I'm just glad that everyone liked them. Jay and family put together a great party. I had a really great time and I enjoyed meeting everyone!
