Garbage day in the subdivision. Both my wife and I caught this out of the corners of our respective eyes.

Some old solid state Sears Roebuck amp head. The model is "125XL", so I'm guessing it's 125 watts, it seems about that loud. I haven't really cranked it past 2 yet. Cool The 1st channel is missing all the faders, so I don't even know if that works yet. It's got spring reverb and tremelo.

I've only tried it with one of my PA speakers right now, my cab is burried in the closet, but so far the clean tone is pretty cool. more low end than I expected. It breaks up with the volume past 4 or so, but by then it's way too loud for this townhouse. I'm gonna try a few of my pedals in front of it. Cool

The Zip Code on this is 60607. It must have been made only a couple of blocks from where I work.

Hmm, I didn't think this thing was that old.

I HAD ONE OF THOSE!(around 70-71, I think.) Hated it, but that was when the Twin Reverb was king. It should have great distortion. Good find!

Ha. yeah, this thing is in no way comparable to a Fender Twin of any sort. It is loud and functional, which will definitely come in handy when I start jamming with other humans in the same space again. Cool

I had an old 60 watt combo bass amp by Sears. That thing was loud...but not exactly, nice sounding.

Here's me messing around a little today:

first clean, then with a distortion pedal in front of the amp.

amp volume at around 1. You can really notice the hiss in the beginning. Otherwise, I think I like it. Cool

thanks LB. who knows, maybe I'll get enough people out of this house to crank the volume past 2! Cool

Sounds good man. Great find. You're getting a pant load of distortion from that pedal. What is it? A Rat?

Thanks gfh. The pedal is a Boss Power Driver. They dont make em anymore. It does have a heck of a lot of gain, plus nice bass and mid controls. It only sounds good in front of certain amps. usually ones that are all post amp gain like this one.
