That would require a sex-change, so I'll pass, but thank you for you kind offer. Smile

Hmm. Robert Bell from the Blue Nile. Roland Orzabal from Tears for Fears. Or, in my more perverse moments, Stanard Ridgeway from Wall of Voodoo...

Yikes...he's my least favorite singer..hehe.

I guess I would go with that jake-owa guy, he's kinda crappy but we already sound very similar.

Yeah. I want to sound like me. Only GOOD!

I think my favorite rock vocalist might be Pepper Keenan (COC)
Maybe.

For me...

Rod Stewart.

Not a particularly big fan of his lately, although will always love his earlier stuff, but damn, he can sing.

I'd like to have the overall fullness and quality of David Bowie, and the screaming high notes of Ian Gillan.

Is that too much to ask? Wink

Robert Smith.
Davey Havok.
Chris Isaak (or Roy Orbison/Elvis)

Or maybe a male sounding Fiona Apple.

if i can't get a sex change with the voice change i'd go with chris cornell.

if i can opt for a sex change at the same time i'd go with christina aguilera, but only if i don't have to sing her songs and don't have to make out with her boyfriends (including madonna).

I always liked John Wetton's (used to sing and play bass with King Crimson) voice. It probably won't be long though before they make a gizmo like these mic and amp modelers, that will make you sound like anyone you want to.

Anyone here not listen to Rock based stuff? There are some great singers there too, I always thought the guy from Free has a great voice, assuming we can go for both sexes, just to give some balance?

how 'bout

Stevie Wonder
Marvin Gaye
Luther Vandross
Oleta Adams
Elton John (circa. 1975)
Maurice White
Nat King Cole (rather plat the piano like him though given the choice)
Chaka Khan
The young Micheal Jackson
Gladys Knight
Patti LaBelle
Daryl Hall
Micheal McDonald
Jill Scott
Bobby McFerrin

Some great choices there. I would kill to have Michael McDonalds soulfulness, or Stevie Wonders funkiness and range. But if I had to pick only one, gotta be Paul McCartney.......or maybe Kenny Loggins..........or maybe....................hmmmmmmm.....................

Rock: Paul Rogers
R&B: James Ingram
Gospel: Donny McClurkin
Get me through music school: Pavarotti

Just general coolness: it's a tie between Frank Sinatra and Shabba Ranks
