Canon XL2 with the 16x Manual Lens.

I sold the 20x Auto and I'm starting to regret it. I could really use the OIS.

Thanks
Dennis

oooh. I was so close to getting the XL2, but decided to go with the Panasonic DVX100.

Nice, warmer images than I'd expect from a Canon. Very nice.

The DVX is a damn fine camera and I've seen some remarkable footage from it. The only reason I got the XL2 was for Native 16x9 and the lenses. I'm getting an EOS adapter/lense as soon as I can afford them.

Check out http://www.pinelakefilms.com That guy has some incredible DVX footage.

I'll post some video from the xl2 tonight.

See Ya
Dennis

Here's a WMV version. It kinda looks like crap but the next level up was 3Mbps that created a 50MB file.

Oh, and forgive my el-shito camera work. I'm learning.

Here's a QT version that looks much better: http://www.rustyfingers.com/xl2/outside.mov

You guys have inspired me to take the leap into DV. I purchased a DVX100B and have loved every second of my immense learning curve. I do have a question for you, Brad. When do you plan on having your site up and running again? I'd love to see some of your work. That goes for everyone else as well...I'm in the mood for some learning!
