I just installed Reaper on my Win7 PC. I have NI Komplete 6 USB audio interface.

I can't set the audio to ASIO.**

Options>Preferences>Audio>Device>Audio System>

When I choose the ASIO option Reaper freezes and I get this message:

Reaper has stopped working. A problem caused to program to stop working properly.

The audio inputs and output are both set to Komplete Audio 6

** The Audio System ASIO option is not specified as "Komplete 6 ASIO" which I think it should be.

Komplete 6 and Reaper worked fine with my WIN XP.

Audio System: ASIO

ASIO Driver: ASIO Komplete 6

Enable inputs: check it

First and last inputs should be listed as Komplete inputs.

Output range: first and last outputs should be listed as Komplete outputs.

If that's what you've got and it's still not working, then it's probably a question for the guys over at the Cockos forum.

But just to check: What version of Win 7 are you running - 32-bit or 64-bit? And what version of Reaper are you running - 32-bit or 64-bit?

As soon as I choose Audio System: ASIO, it freezes. I never get to the point to choose ASIO Komplete 6. Win 7 is 64 bit. Reaper is 32 bit.

Well, Komplete's good with ASIO. Have you checked on the Native Instruments forum about this? I'd like to know as well.

The reason I'm suggesting NI as a place to start is because Reaper plays well with *everything*. It's almost never the problem. Is your Reaper version up to date?

Oh, man I'm so very stupid sometimes. I'm on version 4.52. Why don't you upgrade from Version 3.whatever?

It's been a while.. but just a couple of thoughts.

Can you access the ASIO driver panel in Control Panel? Outside of Reaper?

If you can, I'd suggest trying a newer version of Reaper. At least install it to see if it works...

reaper 32 should work ok, and is even better for some plugins.

+1 on trying the new version of reaper. Also, did you update to the latest ASIO driver for Komplete 6? It's a pretty far cry from Windows XP to windows 7 and I'm sure there are updates.
