I LOVED YOU
Writer: Dionne Kenny
I LOVED YOU ONCE, I LOVED YOU TWICE
WHEN WILL I REALIZE, YOUíLL NEVER BE NICE
I THOUGHT I KNEW YOU, I NEVER REALLY DID
HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO BLIND
STILL I STAY, JUST SO CAN HURT ME AGAIN
WHEN WILL I LET THIS PAIN END
YOUíLL NEVER LOVE ME THE WAY THAT I LOVE YOU
I KNOW I HAVE TO LEAVE, ALTHOUGH I WANT TO STAY
YOU BROKE MY HEART
NOW I HAVE TO LET MY DREAMS FADE AWAY
WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR ME TO SEE
IíLL NEVER GO BACK, IíM FINALLY ON THE RIGHT TRACK
IT MAKES ME SAD, IT MAKES ME BLUE
THE FACT THAT I MAY NEVER GET OVER YOU
YOU HURT ME ONCE, YOU HURT ME TWICE
I GUESS I KNEW, YOU COULDNíT BE NICE
NOW IíM ALL ALONE, SO ALL ALONE
BUT ITíS BETTER TO BE ON MY OWN
NOW I CAN LIVE AND FINALLY BE FREE
FREE TO BE ME
WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR ME TO SEE
IíLL NEVER GO BACK, IíM FINALLY ON THE RIGHT TRACK
YOU BROKE MY HEART
NOW I HAVE TO LET MY DREAMS FADE AWAY
WHY DID IT TAKE SO LONG FOR ME TO SEE
IíLL NEVER GO BACK, IíM FINALLY ON THE RIGHT TRACK..

What kind of music do you heard for this one? I can hear a few different types of music for it, so if it was me, I'd opt for a less obvious one. Smile

Well, for instance, would you write sad-sounding music for this one, or angry-sounding music?

Sure, I get it. But have you heard Alanis singing that angry song after a break up - "It's not F-A-I-R! To remind me..."

It's cool sometimes to put lyrics of one sort with music of another sort. Cool

Recording Project is for many areas related to recording- instruments, equipment, a listening room to post you, to seek advice, comments, suggestions. for collaborations

So, if you're interested in songwriting from the perspective of I need music for this- the collaboration forum may be a better spot, but, you do need to have some idea about what you want- tempo, meter, male voice/ female voice, style, feel (as most of us aren't really strong when it comes to mindreading)- If you're planning on singing, what key?, maybe post some examples of your singing so a collaborator knows what you sound like (which may go a long way in craft a composition around your lyrics)

also, are you open to suggested changes in the your lyrics to assist with cadence and flow (or a place to take a breath without gasping)

collaborations are wonderful expereiences,. but remember you're essentially seeking musical expertise 'gratis' so you have to be flexible (and patient)

and very clear about what you like/dislike... don't lead someone on because you have trouble saying "I don't like this", also be committed to to following through- it's frustrating to put time into something only to have the instigator just drop it without any explanation or comment

and BTW, welcome to RP!
