I find that the set up for a mixer to an interface, is taxing and somewhat confusing. But I don't like the constant changing of phone jacks as I go through the instruments to make a song.

Is there an easier, more convenient way to record? I'm using real instruments and have not messed with the internal instruments. The line 6 shuts the speakers off when you record to the interface. So does the mustang, I find this uninspiring. The bass is the most exciting as it has a volume on the line out to record and I can hear the bass very well, plus it records very well.

Microphone from amp is ok, but I haven't found a reliable formula. Maybe with the mic real close, I'm a little ways away for a Peavey dynamic. I have Electrovoice, would those be better?

Any suggestions? Cool
