it's getting noisy - now 2 channels- I need an 8 channel pre with ADAT/lightpipe out

The Digimax D8? Presonus OctoPre? others suggestions?? I need to decide on something soon- I have to replace a fader in my console... so tht'd be the perfect time to make the swap

Stainless,
Audient makes a REALLY nice one...but priced to match.
M-Audio makes the Octane...sort of like a bunch DMP-3s
Ramsa makes a really nice one that is out of proction, but it will run $100-150 a channel...but very good.

the Behringer one is passable for $200 or less
Mackie Onyx rack..800R?

Do you want it temporary and as the "go to" pres or just as add on back ups?

Some of the Yammie O2rs are 24 bit and have adat outs and also serve as a control surface..16 channels and work surface...

It will be used (6 channels ) for drums- I'll look at tAudient and Ramsa... hadn't thought of the Mackie- no interest in Behringer and M-=Audio... is a hot/cold-

I have a Control 24 which I'll hang with for a while longer- and several pre-s (tube and SS0 ... but lacking the ADAT

I'm presently leaning towards the D8... i really don't need much in the way of bells and whistles, as long as it's got a better clock than the 002R

as far as a clock goes....why not get on good clock and slave all to it?

I use a Lucid Genx6 96 x superclock......it really made a difference with my 10/10
