Fantastic. What a great way to end the day at work...

kind of Bowie meets Pink Floyd..

What a great piece.. The only possible picky thing I could come up with.. The harpsichord sound in the opening.. not my favorite..

Hey Sloop, I think that’s an acoustic guitar not a harpsichord.

I had to re-listen to this to fully grasp the greatness. It is another great piece.

I like it a lot. It is different but still is Emser.

Rocking out in 3 ain’t easy but you pulled it off.

Love the changes especially during the “Oh if this fall” part and the ebb and flow of the whole piece.

Looking for nits, the only thing I notice is it seems a little tentative at the start but jells nicely once it gets going.

You got it man.

Wow, this is great. Perfectly "not you". Music with a melody line and void of groovy loops.

I agree I'd ditch the MIDI Roland ac guitar sound, and put something less "GM" sounding.

This comes across as a nice musical piece not relying on cut and paste elements. A++

Nice 3/4 ballad in Emser-ish, especially on your ending vamp out.

You might try a Xylophone on that part.. something a little softer edged.. or maybe a glass harp???

Emser, I like the acoustic patch better than this new thing.

Remember your song And Away? The acoustic guitar in that is great. Why not just record some of your own playing?

listening on the good system at work..

Wow... I love the second mix a lot..
The 1503's (speakers) are loving this a lot.. Great sound..
The organ bass pedal could come up just a tiny bit..
The doubled voices are awesome..

at 4:51 when the vocals drop out and the distorted guitar cuts in.. in my head I hear a high distorted guitar running up the fretboard over the top of it all through the end of the piece... high guitar lead.. then again.. it is my head and there is a lot bouncing around in there.

awesome piece.

I've not been around much, And ... buried w/ stuff.

All the same, I generally give a listen when I see you've posted. I assumed I had listened to this, but when I visited the thread ... saw I'd not commented.

So I listened and discovered I'd not heard it before.

This is brilliant. By far, my favorite of yours ... or not yours (not being you?) Smile

Great dynamic piece that kept my ear riveted through the whole. The slightly dischordant treatment, soaring melody ... everything.

Jeff said it best: AWESOME PIECE.

Gave me chills.

Yes, this is a wonderful song, emser, but to me, it sounds a lot like you, because I remember it from several years ago, and I always think of it as definitive "emser". It still comes up on the Ipod every once in a while. Very different arrangement from the original, but equally wonderful, and more interesting. You have a gift, no doubt.

Dude, this is an awesome piece. Placements are just right levels are just right... more importantly, it's really a great piece of music.
Good job!

I was kind of skeptical to this one as it started, the piano felt awkward to me. But it evolved nicely, and the themes are great. Love the French waltzy feel at times. Some of the vocal tracks might use some work though, they`re not perfect. It`s not a problem when just playing it in the background, but if I`m listening to it.. there are some issues every once in a while. But I`m a product of autotuned and quantisized music, so it might just be the feel you`re going for.
