my source for this is battling cancer... so it seems a bit trivial ask if he can order some for me

I need a carton of 1" 24 x 48 panels- normally there are 12 1" pieces per carton (not 6 like a couple of on-line places I've found... bastardos!!!)

I don't care if it's Dow-Corning, Certainteed, or Knauf they're all pretty much the same thing (lyes they are!)

I use ATS, though they do sell em 6 to a carton. Can't you just get two cartons?

yes I can... but I was buying 4" @ 3 per, 2" @ 6 per and 1"@12 per for close to the same price each (the 1" was the most per carton... the carton/box was the same size 24x48x12

The UPS to ship a single 24x48x12 is definitely less than 2 24x48x6

I may try the local wholesale supplier

I actually prefer working with the 1"- I can always layer it... and it's easier to get a nice straight cut on it

Yeah, I hate cutting that stuff, it's nasty shit. I always wear nitrile gloves and a good n95 particulate mask. I find that if I use a brand new blade in a utility knife, and compress it on the waste side of the cut with my straightedge, it's fairly easy to get through it in one pass.

Thanks, man. Been enjoying it -- just finished it a few months ago, and am still getting used to it. It's about to really be put to the test -- first paying clients coming in in the next couple of weeks.

gotta love paying clients- I recently finished a paid project that 's bought bamboo flooring - which I hope to finish today and have everything back in place and connected by Wednesday

moving the Hammond around has required help... and i've had to do half the room (yesterday, then move all the gear onto it, so I can finish the other half. The idea of having musical "stuff" scattered through the house wasn't at all appealing to my wife... even if only for a few days... course I've said that before and it's taken a few weeks to get it all moved back.....

any pics of the rest of the room?
