I've been waiting for the perfect piece of gear to do live recordings with 4-channels, and I think Edirol finally made it:

I posted this long ago, and forgot about it. Well, I got one. Hands down my favorite piece of mobile recording gear. It has never failed in the field, has reasonably quiet pre's, and is easy to power remotely (9v DVD LiON battery). Highly recommend!
