If the page doesn't load try back later. The bandwidth has hourly limits, I know it sucks but it's free web space.

looks good!! I can imagine the amount of time that took!
How much tone difference do you see/hear with the bass to alder bodies?

.... on Guitar #2... an adler body? must be one of those exotic imported woods LOL

Oh so exotic!! Wink

They all actually sound very similar for the most part, but the one with the tremolo is oh so slightly thinner sounding. The nice thing is that once you've tuned her in you can dive it down all the way and it comes right back and stays in tune quite well.

I hope to have some sound samples posted soon so every one can hear how great they sound IMHO.

Im in the process of building two more, one with a trem for Tom (Fmmahoganyrush) and a 12 string for my self. I'll post picts as soon as they're finished.

I have to finish putting the butchered/electric firstTele back together (which has now been relegated to the way-back burner)

but this sounds like a great idea to me!

Well, someone finally took the plunge.
Check out the "builders gallery" link in the "How To Build A Solid Body Acoustic/Electric." page on my site.
I feel like a proud Papa. Very Happy http://tkojams.com/

that's extremely very cool.

Now do a page where you build one for a gigging guitarist and get it out in front of the people night after night.

Let's see ....... who do I know that gigs every night? hmmmm ..................

Wink

TKO

how much of a difference do you hear in the chambered body (with solid top)versus the stock body cavities covered with a pickguard

Stainless, The chambered solid top sounds a little fuller but it is a 12 string. The others actually sound acoustic but with a Strat-ish tone and really respond well to overdrive/distortion pedals. It's really the best of both worlds. Thumb Up

I like the solid body's with the guard better for the sound and the playablity and the "awe" factor from other players at gigs is always a plus. Cool
