Any tips for a returning sax player? It's only been 30 years. Shocked

It was my grandfather's (on my mom's side). He had this one, and a couple orchestrals ( a saxella, and a C-melody) that have been in a museum since his death in '96 thanks to my aunt. Rolling Eyes Anyway the museum couldn't keep them anymore (yay!) so my aunt decided to split them up between family members. This one had the least monetary value according to the appraiser so guess who got it. It is in the best playing condition though.

I used to play alto, and tenor in junior high band. Been a long time though. I've cleaned it up a bit since I took that pic, fixed one key that wasn't working right (a little cushion was missing off the actuator) got some reeds (2, and 2-1/2), and have been playing with it a bit. It's gonna take a while to get my chops back after a 30+ year hiatus. Laughing

what brand is it?

Do you have a strap? Most people don't think of using a strap on a soprano but it'll make it easier for you.

It's a Conn from the early-mid '20s. My sister actually played this one a little when she was in school, and it was re-padded then. Probably mid '70s.

I can hold it fine, but I can see how a strap would make some fingerings easier especially when working the keys for the lower/larger pads.
