Anyone do stop motion? I think it ROKS!
I know the basics, but nothing exceptionally complex

I want to learn how to make it look like someone is flying down a sidewalk, but can't figure out what I'd have to do ... I think it would involve a lot of jumping and capturing pictures at just the right time .. or is there an easier way (i.e. using photoshop)

I think it's cool too. I've got an EOS 20D and have thought about trying it out. If you mean stop motion with real humans I don't think it can be done w/o loking a bit jittery. Normally any jumping type scenes are done on a glass plate laying down with something sticking your figures to the plate.

whoah. That was incredible. I really liked the tetris on the wall as the shadow moved across. that must have been painstaking. Cool

I'm kinda curious about doing this myself.

What kind of software would I need to sequence jpgs and add music on a PC?

I just got a Sony Cyber shot a few months back and was looking into a video editor myself . The Abobe Premiere Elements 3.0 can do it . I specifically says you can " Have fun with stop-motion animation
Try your hand at animation! Use Stop Motion Capture to create your own time-lapse movies, claymations, and other animations."

It's on sale at Staples right now for $89.00 plus a $30.00 rebate .
I was to busy buying stuff(read *broke*) for everyone else to grab it . I'll but it on my birthday wish list this April !! Smile

http://www.adobe.com/products/premiereel/newfeatures.html

In combo with PhotoShop 5.0 it's $149.00 plus a rebate off too .

You can download a tryout too at the product page . Integrates into Audition too !! Wink
