Hi
A friend want to introduce some of his original tunes to a publishing company. But he is worried that some of the sounds he uses come from Reason v3.0 including refils, which he didn't pay for Ummmm!

Could he be right to worry?
Could reason rightfully bring a case against him.

My feeling are NO! But i am sure it depends on the nature of the samples and how recognisable they are as someone elses work.

so he stole Reason samples, maybe the program then?

then he needs to pay for the software and then not worry about any legal trouble.

Pretty simple really BUY THIS STUFF IN THE FIRST PLACE!

Maybe he bought it but is concerned because he's essentially redistributing recoreded sounds? I'm not sure myself.

No he didn't steal the samples, they were given to him by a friend.
Surely thousands of published pieces contain reason samples, do they really chase down those who have no receipts?

All he's gotta do is buy a copy. It's not that expensive. I don't know if Propellerheads would chase him down or not, but what he did was illegal. Buying the software is the way to make it all better again.
